Candy Cane Cottage Part
four of the Gingerbread Village Series This
Gingerbread Cottage is so cute, you’ll be
tempted to take a bite out of it! Just like the
Gingerbread House, Gingerbread Church and the
Gingerbread Tree Etui, this year’s building is
stitched on a Gingerbread coloured linen. I’ve
used a lovely blue linen for the roof to match
the doors, although you can of course substitute
any other colour. The Gingerbread Pinkeep is
also adorable! You will be stitching with
delectable silk flosses, Perle Cottons,
sparkling beads and delicious looking ‘candy’
like snow buttons and tiny gingerbread men
buttons. This wee cottage is not lined, which
makes finishing easier and faster! It is
dripping with icing, has different coloured
windows, and lots of decorative candies to
welcome the hungry visitor. Lisa’s “Beautiful
Finishing” instructions, with colour photographs
of the process, are included at the end of this
leaflet. This year, display all four pieces,
including the completed Gingerbread Church,
Gingerbread House and Gingerbread Tree Etui, on
your mantle for the Holidays! Let these yummy
stitched goodies give you some extra Christmas
cheer as you stitch your last minute ornaments.

Sorting The
Threads in your Accessory Pack:Remember
to sort in daylight near a window, not under
artificial light indoors.. as the colours change
with the colour of the lightbulbs we use.Each
floss has a different number of strands in each
thread length. This helps you differentiate the
different colours in your pack.
The Needlepoint Inc has 8 strands per length
The Kreinik Mori has 6 strands per length
The Gloriana Overdyed Silk has 12 thin strands
per length Dinky
Dyes has 6 strands per length
FYI: We noticed that some colours have been
divided into two lengths. This can happen if a
colour requires 1.5 yards. Our kitmaker might
include one 1 yard length and one 0.5 yard
length, so don't get confused if one colour has
more than one length of thread. We hope this
extra information will help you sort your
threads more easily!
